NFAA Introduces a New Shooting Style
NFAA has added a new shooting style, Longbow. The new style will be available for competition beginning 1 June 2012 to include the TFAA State Outdoor Championship, Southern Outdoor Sectional and NFAA National Outdoor Championship. Following are some of the rules concerning the Longbow style:

-          The bow must be one piece, no takedowns

-          Wooden arrows must be used

-          A stick on arrow rest can be used

-          Shoot from the blue stakes, you will shoot out to 80 yards

This is what we know at this time, if anything changes or is added we will let you know.

Age Group Clarification
If an archer advances in age and subsequently to another division during the course of a season, that archer will have to shoot in the older age group beginning on their birthday. This means that any championship shoots occurring after the birthday will have to be competed in the older division.

If you have any questions reagrding either of these items, please pose them to the TFAA President, Steve Coleman at j13scoleman@yahoo.com or call 254-723-4018.

Thanks for stopping by to check out our website.  This is the place where you  can find out about the latest events going on in the TFAA.  Primarily this site is used  to list our shoot schedule, results, records, Hall of Fame members and Board contact information.  It's still a work in progress but it's the best way to keep up with TFAA events.

I would like to invite you to join us in one of our many shoots.  The TFAA is a  shooting organization.  We sponsor Indoor Rounds, Field Rounds, American Rounds, and 3-D Rounds.  I am sure if you check us out you will enjoy our tournaments.  If you do  we would love to have you as a member.
